“PDA
STAT, or How to Take the Mystery Out of Scenario Training”
This is a
seminar designed for both novice and experienced patient simulation faculty.
The program addresses the application of patient simulator programs for the
successful implementation of scenario training in the participant’s own
curriculum. The location of the seminar will be near the Simulaids
manufacturing facility in Saugerties, New York. The simulators used during
this course will be Simulaids’ SMART STAT and PDA STAT.
These units are easy to understand, operate, and use and the course is open
to anyone trying to learn more about how patient simulation scenario
training is being implemented in many disciplines of healthcare.
Participants will
receive instruction on:
-
The
features of the PDA STAT and SMART STAT manikins and how to successfully
operate the manikins (for the purpose of applying the lessons learned
– not a tutorial).
-
The
role of the Manikin Data Editor in creating scenarios
-
The
process of creating and using scenario-based training with the manikins
-
The
application and review process of scenario training
-
A
tour of the new Simulaids facility
-
Copies
of the scenarios built and produced by you and your co-attendees
The dates for the seminar, to be held
within each quarter of the year, will be posted here on this page. Please
